The Mars IP Address Discovery Tool, Atonometrics part number 500081, is a Windows software utility that identifies Mars units on your network to assist you in recovering lost or forgotten IP addresses.
Use the link below to download the software utility .zip file. Unzip the zip file to a convenient location on your computer, such as your desktop.
To run the software, double-click on the .exe file in the extracted folder.
Note: Windows Firewall may block messages used by this software to identify your Mars unit.
- If prompted by Windows, allow permissions for the software to pass through Windows Firewall.
- If not prompted, please temporarily disable Windows Firewall while using the software, then enable it afterwards. To disable Windows Firewall, search "disable Windows Firewall" on your computer.
Once the software is running, connect your computer via Ethernet to the Mars unit whose address you need to discover. The Mars unit must be powered.
Once running, the software will display any detected Mars units and their IP addresses.
Once you have identified the IP address of your Mars unit, remember to change your computer’s Ethernet network adapter subnet (if needed) in order to communicate with the unit from your web browser, as instructed in the Mars User Guide.
If you disabled Windows Firewall, remember to enable it again when finished.
